A package is generally a product's strongest marketing tool. The success of a package is an essential condition (though not a sufficient one) of overall product acceptance. The more attractive a package and the more it conveys a project's image effectively, the greater its chances of success. Beyond visual attractiveness, a package is also measured by additional parameters such as storage convenience and convenience of use and safety, which are becoming increasingly important to target audiences.Package research was designed to assess a package's effectiveness, facilitate selection from among available options, and appraise a package's strength vis-à-vis the competitors "on the shelf". This research is conducted in face-to-face personal interviews by authorized interviewers trained to conduct interviews among consumers in general and in package research in particular. |
